"There will never be a storm that can wash the path from my feet, the direction from my heart, the light from

my eyes, or the purpose from this life. I know that I am untouchable to the forces as long as I have a

direction, an aim, a goal: To serve, to love, and to give."

 — Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Yoga Basics | "Yoga 101"

The perfect place to start... or a great opportunity to tune back into the "beginner's mind" and refine the subtle nuances of your practice. Mellow, yet energizing, relaxing and healing!

Slow Flow

This class is designed as a slow and deep flowing class, that moves sequentially and intelligently from one pose to the next, starting from the ground and working our way up.  Time will be taken to linger in the poses, in order that we may experience more opportunity for alignment and connection, which will then lead to deeper openings.  Hip opening will be part of each class, as the general vibe of the class is more lunar than a general Flow class.  The music in this class will be lusciously mellow, in order to facilitate our long, slow, deep flowing movements.

Yin Yoga

This class is for any level, any age. A very relaxing, mellow approach to yoga that taps into the same energy system as Acupuncture. A great place for someone new to yoga, or someone looking for a way to melt away stress and balance their more active activities of the week. Almost all poses are done lying on the ground, allowing gravity to do the work for you, with effects similar to getting a massage. The optional integration of aromatherapy and essential oils are used in order to help promote relaxation and muscle release. This class is very popular with men and athletes, as well as the average householder. We ALL need Yin Yoga!

Basic Flow Yoga

This class is great place to start, but a little more active than the Beginning Yoga Class on Monday nights!  This is the class where beginners learn the fundamentals of a yoga practice and begin to integrate it into "flow", and more experienced students can re-visit the foundations of a healthy practice. We'll give you the essential alignment principles you will use in any yoga class you attend, and we'll cover all the standing poses important to opening and strengthening the body, as well as the stretching, relaxation, and breathing practices yoga is famous for.  We'll also teach you to the building blocks of a more flowing Vinyasa style of yoga.

"OmMama" Prenatal Flow Yoga

This class is designed for the expectant mother, and her changing body. We not only experience yoga flow and movement in this class, set to inspiring music, we also build relationships and connections with other expecting mothers. Support and education are built into this yoga class, in order that you may have the most optimal pregnancy and birth experience possible.  The class will focus on releasing the low back, hips, shoulders, and sciatic area.  We will explore different positions, breathing, and

coping techniques for labor.  All levels are welcome, as we go on the journey to motherhood together.

FlowJourn

Carole's unique Flow experience... Each class starts with a nourishing Yin/Restorative pose, to foreshadow what's to come in the unexpected and joyous ride of the class! Intelligently and creatively sequenced, clearly cued, and set to a custom playlist of eclectic music, class builds to a peak of smoldering (not scorching!) heat and flow with Vinyasa! Just when you need it, the ride shifts down-tempo to a nourishing valley, ending in a sublime way with a soothing Savasana. The perfect midday escape, leaving you feeling refreshed, energized, and complete.  This class is for experienced beginners, through advanced students.  Many options are given within the flow of class.  We will celebrate the convergence of vinyasa flow and alignment as we express ourselves through creative movement, and become inspired through music of

many genres.

Prenatal Yoga Training Details:

This Yoga Alliance Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Program, can be taken in several ways, including taking Module 1, 2, and/or 3 in any given order and/or individually to supplement prior yoga training.  The modules are open to male and female yoga teachers, as well as women who are not yoga teachers, but are wanting to deepen their experience and knowledge about pregnancy and birth.

Beauty & Abundance Module | Female Life Cycle: Moon Cycles, Fertility,
Pregnancy, Menopause

A woman's moon cycles are an important indicator of her overall health. Therefore, in this training we will spend time learning about a woman's moon cycles and how awareness of this cycle can enhance everything from overall health to fertility, to an easeful transition into menopause. We will explore the foundations of teaching a safe and effective Prenatal Yoga Class, as well as how to modify any class for a pregnant student. Ayurveda and nutrition for women will be discussed, as well as basic modifications and relaxation for the pregnant Goddess. Great intro to your Prenatal Training, and a must-do training for those teaching general Yoga Classes where pregnant women attend occasionally. We will also learn about the Goddess Lakshmi, and the qualities she embodies through the female life cycle. This module may be taken separately, or as part of the three module series.

Wisdom & Flow Module | Female Anatomy and Yoga for Healthy Pelvis, Hips, Shoulders, and Back

This weekend has a focus on all things anatomy, with practical application to women and the pregnant Goddess! We will expand on the foundations set in Module 1, and continue to learn more modifications and usage of props, as well as some therapeutic yoga to help ease the common discomforts of pregnancy and menopause, as well as enhancing fertility. Anatomy of the pelvis, pelvic floor, hips, shoulders, and back will be discussed. In relation to the pelvic floor anatomy, we will learn about kegels, mula bandha, uddiyana bandha and pranayama. We will also learn about the Goddess Saraswati, and the qualities she embodies through the female life cycle.

Empowerment & Transformation Module | Pregnancy and Birth as a Transformational and Empowering Female Experience

In this weekend we will explore birth as an opportunity for women to experience their pregnancy, labor, and birth as a transformative experience. We will learn about the birthing process, options in birth, and postpartum care. We will spend time practice teaching, and learning about yoga poses and techniques to enhance the birthing process. Couples yoga, pain management techniques, and yoga for birth will all be part of this weekend's training. We will also learn about the Goddess Durga, and the qualities she embodies through the female life cycle.
Guest teachers for this Module are Kelly Langfeldt and Dusti Bosworth from Five
Stones Birthing. Dusti and Kelly are both Certified Doulas, Massage Therapists, and Hynobabies Teachers.

For me yoga is a living and ever expanding practice, that changes according to what is needed for the evolution of our souls. I wholeheartedly believe that yoga is not just a practice we do on our mats, it's a practice we do each day and with each breath. LIVING YOGA is what resonates with me; taking the skills, challenges, successes, and experiences we have on our mats, and applying them to our everyday lives. As we align our bodies in poses, we are actually aligning ourselves with our greater purpose. As we flow, we are actually learning to ride the ups and downs of life with grace and ease. Even the music in the room serves as a shared language and vibration that actually bonds us together in ways that words cannot.  All of these elements, and more, come together in my classes to weave together a complex and beautiful tapestry that becomes the fabric of our living yoga. My hope is that yoga unites your heart and soul, and that your mind and body become open to the vast experiences that life has to offer. Come explore with me on the mat, and I truly believe yoga will change your life.

As you might imagine, yoga and my family are my true passions.  I am a full-time yoga teacher, and owner of Evolve to Harmony.  I have been blessed with an amazing husband and three wonderful daughters, who let me be who I really am. In return, I try my best to live my yoga each day, both in the studio and in everyday life, enjoying each breath I am given on this beautiful planet!  I strongly believe in the mind-body connection, and use my experience in the field of Psychology to help bridge the two through heart-centered teaching; weaving together body, breath, and mind through the power of movement and the vibration of music.  I am primarily a Vinyasa Flow teacher, although I adore teaching ALL styles of yoga, because variety is the spice of life!

In order to help keep my fire burning bright, and share my light with others, I love to continue my education and study on various aspects of yoga on a continual basis. My hours of Teacher Training have now exceeded thousands of hours, and I have no intention of stopping!  Some of my most inspirational experiences have been with Shiva Rea, Maty Ezraty, Annie Carpenter, Judith Lasater, Sarah Powers, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Noah Maze, Douglas Brooks, Amy Ippoliti,  Kathryn Budig, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Aadil Palkhivala.

I am a lover of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and have pursued studies in this area through Yin Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage.  I am certified at the Essential Level in Thai Yoga Massage and Thai Reflexology through Kriplau and the Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Massage programs.  I am also certified in Reiki Levels I and II.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I wholeheartedly believe in the power of Shakti! Therefore I am dedicated to empowering women through their life cycle and birthing experiences, and am so humbled to be a Childbirth Educator, Doula, and Prenatal Teacher.

What’s next for me?! Who knows where this juicy river will take me...but I know I would like to continue to grow as a person and share my mistakes and victories along the way...

In the meantime, I hope to see YOU on the mat one day soon, and we can share a moment in time together, as we are ALL connected in this great big web of LIFE!
